Welcome to The Standout Awards — recognition for small businesses, solo operators and independents who do great work and deserve something to show for it.
We review entries and nominations, select winners, publish winner listings, and license winner badges. By using this website, entering, nominating someone, or buying anything from us, you agree to the terms below. We've tried to keep them readable.
1. General Terms
1.1 This website ("the Website") is owned and operated by Review Rumble Ltd, a company validly incorporated in the British Virgin Islands (BVI 2008725) ("The Standout Awards", "we", "us").
1.2 By using the Website you confirm you are at least 18 years old.
1.3 You agree to use the Website and our products and services only for lawful purposes.
1.4 We may change, pause or stop any part of the Website, the awards, or our services at any time.
2. What We Offer
2.1 Our products and services include: entry and nomination review, winner packages (Digital, Classic and Premium), published winner listings, digital certificates, and annual winner badge licences.
2.2 Everything is subject to availability and may change or be discontinued without notice.
2.3 All prices are in USD and exclude any taxes or transaction fees that apply where you are.
2.4 We may cancel an order and refund you where something is unavailable or a price was shown in error.
3. Entering and Nominating
3.1 There are two ways in:
- Entry — you enter your own business. The entry fee is $49.
- Nomination — you nominate someone else's business. Nominating is free.
3.2 Entering yourself. The $49 fee covers reviewing and processing your entry. It does not buy an award, and entering does not guarantee you'll win.
3.3 Nominating someone else. Nominations are free and there is no obligation on anyone to buy anything. If we take a nomination forward, we contact the business directly and they decide whether to continue. As the nominator you have no rights over the award, the outcome, or any deliverables, and you will not be named publicly unless the nominee agrees.
3.4 If you nominate someone, you confirm you are giving us their business contact details in good faith and that you're not submitting nominations in bulk, anonymously to cause harm, or on behalf of someone who has asked not to be nominated. We may reject any nomination without explanation.
3.5 You're responsible for what you submit. You confirm the business exists and is operating, that the facts in the submission are true, and that any images or logos you upload are yours (or the nominee's) to use.
3.6 We may reject a submission, or withdraw an award we've already given, where information turns out to be inaccurate, misleading or unverifiable, or where a winner's conduct brings the awards into disrepute. No refund is due in those cases.
3.7 Selection decisions are ours and are final. We don't publish scores, name our reviewers, or give individual feedback, and we don't debate decisions afterwards.
3.8 We may decline to make an award in a category, or in a cycle, where the entries don't support a credible result.
4. Fees and Payment
4.1 Entry is $49. Winner packages are priced as published at the time of purchase — currently Digital $99, Classic $199, Premium $399. Badge licences are $79 per year.
4.2 Payment is by credit or debit card via our payment processor. Payment is due in full at purchase. We don't offer instalments.
4.3 To place an order you need to give us accurate billing and contact details.
4.4 We may refuse an order or cancel a transaction at our discretion, refunding what you paid.
5. Winner Packages and Deliverables
5.1 Winner packages are optional. Your win is confirmed before any package is offered, and not buying one doesn't take your award away.
5.2 Deliverables are digital unless we say otherwise. Typical turnaround is 5 business days from the later of (a) payment and (b) us receiving everything we've asked you for. Where a package includes a physical item, we'll confirm shipping and lead time at purchase; we're not responsible for carrier delays, damage or loss in transit.
5.3 Where we need something from you — a logo, a photo, a line of copy, an approval — the clock starts when we get it. We'll chase you for it, within reason.
5.4 We may swap in a deliverable of equal or greater value if something specified becomes unavailable.
6. Winner Badge Licence
6.1 Winners can license The Standout Awards winner badge for $79 per year.
6.2 The licence is a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to display the badge for the specific award and year you were given. We own the badge and all associated marks.
6.3 You may use the badge on your website, in your shop or premises, on social profiles, in quotes and proposals, on invoices, on packaging, in email signatures, and in local advertising — as long as the award name and year are legible and accurate.
6.4 You may not: change the badge's shape, colours or wording; claim an award, year or category you didn't get; imply a ranking, endorsement, certification, accreditation or official approval you weren't given; use it for a different business than the one awarded; or suggest an ongoing relationship with us beyond the award.
6.5 The licence runs for a year and expires unless you renew. After it expires or is terminated, stop using the badge in anything live or under your control within 30 days. Plain-text mentions — like "Winner, The Standout Awards 2026" — are fine to keep forever.
6.6 We may check how the badge is being used and revoke a licence for breach of this section, for misrepresentation, or where continued display would mislead a customer.
7. Refund Policy
7.1 The $49 entry fee is non-refundable once your entry has gone in for review.
7.2 Winner packages and badge licences are refundable, fully or partly, only where we can't deliver what you paid for. We don't refund because a purchase was made by mistake, because circumstances changed, because a business closed or was sold, because the award didn't bring in work, or for any similar reason.
7.3 Good faith. We work in good faith. If we've made reasonable efforts to get a deliverable finished and you haven't given us the sign-off, materials or replies we asked for within the agreed timeline, no refund is due and we'll treat the deliverable as complete.
7.4 None of this limits any statutory consumer right you have where you live that can't be waived. Where a statutory cooling-off period applies to a digital service and you ask us to start within it, you accept that your right to cancel is lost once the service has been fully performed.
8. Published Content and Publicity
8.1 By entering — or by continuing with a nomination — you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your business name, logo, trade name and submitted materials to review the submission, and if you're selected, to announce, publish and promote the award on our website, publications, social channels and partner media.
8.2 What we publish is edited by us, using what you gave us. We'll fix factual mistakes on request; we don't offer sign-off on tone, wording or placement.
8.3 Published winner listings, including past years, may stay online indefinitely. If we agree to take something down, we can't control third-party caches, aggregators or search indexes.
8.4 You're welcome to quote and share published content about your own award, with attribution and without changing what it says.
8.5 If your submission mentions other people — staff, customers, collaborators — you confirm you have their permission to share what you've provided about them.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Everything on the Website — text, graphics, logos, badges, images, design and software — is ours or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.
9.2 You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or display any part of the Website without our written consent.
9.3 The Standout Awards name, logo and badges may only be used under a licence granted in section 6 or with our written consent.
9.4 You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant us the licence in section 8 in respect of it.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
10.1 The Website and our products and services are provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied.
10.2 We don't warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that our products and services will meet your expectations.
10.3 We don't promise results. An award, a listing, a badge or any other deliverable is not a guarantee of customers, bookings, enquiries, reviews, ranking, search visibility, media coverage, or any other outcome.
10.4 An award is recognition from this programme. It is not a certification, accreditation, official approval, licence to trade, safety or quality inspection, or professional advice — and must not be presented as any of those.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 To the fullest extent the law allows, we and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill or business interruption, arising from your use of the Website or our products and services.
11.2 Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the specific product or service the claim relates to.
11.3 Some places don't allow certain exclusions or limits on liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11.4 Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that can't lawfully be excluded.
12. Indemnification, Governing Law and Disputes
12.1 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us, our affiliates and our officers, directors, employees, agents and contractors against any claim, damage, loss or reasonable legal cost arising from your use of the Website or our products and services, from an inaccurate submission, from a nomination you made, from misuse of a badge, or from any breach of these terms by you.
12.2 These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the British Virgin Islands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
12.3 Any dispute arising from these terms, the Website, our products and services, or any transaction between us will be resolved by binding arbitration seated in the British Virgin Islands and conducted in English.
12.4 The arbitrator's decision is final and binding, and judgment may be entered on it in any court of competent jurisdiction.
12.5 Nothing here stops either party asking a court for urgent injunctive relief to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
13. Privacy and Data
13.1 How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
13.2 Submissions are shared internally and with reviewers for the purpose of assessing them. Where you nominate someone else, we use the contact details you give us to reach out to that business about the nomination. We do not sell entrant or nominee data.
14. Miscellaneous
14.1 These terms, our Privacy Policy and any written order confirmation are the entire agreement between you and us, and supersede anything discussed beforehand.
14.2 If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it's severed and the rest stays in force.
14.3 If we don't enforce a right or provision, that's not a waiver of it.
14.4 You may not assign or transfer these terms without our written consent. We may assign them without restriction, including as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business.
14.5 The Standout Awards operates as part of a group of recognition programmes. Each is a separate award with its own criteria and review; winning one doesn't imply an award from, or endorsement by, any other.
15. Contact Us
15.1 Questions about these terms or about our products and services: info@standoutawards.org.
15.2 We aim to reply promptly and properly.
16. Acknowledgment
16.1 By using this Website, entering, nominating, or buying anything from us, you acknowledge that you've read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms.
16.2 We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision, and it's your responsibility to check it now and then.
16.3 Continuing to use the Website, or buying from us, after a revision means you accept the revised terms.
Thanks for entering The Standout Awards.
